The hike was snow covered, fantastic, challenging, and fun. We had been wanting to do these hikes in winter and in snow and boy did we get what we wished for. 2 feet of snow at the top and not that many hikers out. It was a fantastic day to say the least. For the first mile or so, it was spotted patches of snow and ice. For the rest of the 3-4 miles up it was completely covered in snow, sometimes up to 2 feet. Needless to say we needed our microspikes! We made it to the top in a respectable time and for my first major hike in major snow I had a blast! Onward and upward! PS. It wasn't that cold either!
