been to this peak before (about 2.5 years ago) but well before i'd ever heard of the 6POP challenge.  this was number 3, bagged on the day i was originally scheduled to summit kilimanjaro under a full moon… oh, coronavirus.  at least there was snow so i could imagine i was actually hiking the snows of kilimanjaro… haha. still, very grateful for local open trails & looking forward to a time when i can reschedule. ????

anyway…. perfect day! i left the parking area at 9:15am and hit the summit ~ 11:45am.  encountered more foot traffic than i expected but still not bad at all.  there is definitely snow covering the trail at multiple points near the top, bring your poles, but you don't need more serious snow gear. also bathroom (BYOTP) & parking is open at vincent gulch but you have to approach from the north. according to the signs, the 2 is closed at the 39 through cedar springs. i took a detour before i got quite that far but there are multiple posts so i'm sure it's legit.

happy trails!
