I joined 3H Hiking Group in colloboration with 213 FB Hikers for a hike up to Mount Wilson on April 14, 2019.  We parked at Chantry Flats and took the First Water Trailhead.  We had to made several creek crossings to get to the Sturtevant Camp.  At the Sturtevant Camp, we rested for about 20 minutes.  I loved the swing and I was felt like a kid again.  After that we proceed on to the Half Rest junction.  I think that after the Half Rest junction, it's challenging to me.  Those 8 switchbacks always gives me a hard time every time.  But I managed and got up to top of Mount Wilson.

On the trails, I saw yellow and purple wildflowers.   I done this Peak Challenge last year.  The one thing that's different is the smell of the sage and herbs weren't that strong in smelling.  Overall, the trails were clean and passable.

At the summit, I took photos with the wooden sign.  I then headed my way to the Cosmo Cafe.  I bought their hot dog.  Boy, it was so delicious.  A wonderful thing happened to me.  This is my second year hiking with 3H Hiking Group.  For the very first time I met the Legend of 3H Hiking Group, Mr  Don Viejo.  I introduced myself to my Legend.  We hit it off good.  Don told me some jokes.

After our time at the Cosmo Cafe, we headed down to the car.  We used the fire road trail to head down.

I love the Mount Wilson hike alot.  It's easy and have a beautiful of Downtown Los Angeles, the Santa Anita racetrack.
