My group and I started on the trail around 11ish, after a short trip to the Candy Store for some snacks. We started at a nice, brisk pace as the trail started of extremely mild. We got to the first set of markers, made a right and when we got to the Four Corners, we made another right. We were making good time, until we were warned of the “fun” part of the trail.
We got to another fork in the road and made a right where it said simply, “Sitton Peak.” This is where the real hike started. The marker didnt have any indication of distance so we just assumed it would be a journey. This part of the trail was very steep, with bushes and trees scratching at my legs.
We finally reached the peak after basically crawling up the seemingly long scramble. My group and I were met with gorgeous views of the Pacific Ocean and green mountains as far as the eyes could see.
