We started well before sunrise so that we could be well on our way up before it started to get hot. It was such a perfect day. We kept our jackets on until we crested the crater rim. There was almost no wind at the summit and we enjoyed a gentle breeze off and on as we descended. This was possibly the most beautiful day I’ve experienced up there so far, but then I’ve probably said that before!
