Weather at the Ranger station was about 39 at the beginning of my hike around 0900. Rangers were saying micro spikes at the very least if not crampons and ice axe. I had crampons and Ice axe, never pulled them out and had no traction issues on the way up. Yes there was plenty of snow on the trail on the way up but easily hikeable if you stay on the trail. Off the trail some areas were knee deep in not more( I know because I fell in) Many hikers were in trail runners and gaiters. Snow began about 1/4 mile after the first ranger station. Easily doable however water resistant pants/gaiters and footwear recommended. Ice on the pines was melting and it was like walking in rain all the way up, ended up throwing my rain cover on my pack just to be safe. Wind on my hands got a little chilly so I ended up putting my gloves on. The peak weather was not bad, until the clouds rolled in. Bring layers for the peak, get there early otherwise you will get A LOT of slush on the way down. That is where your feet WILL get soaked if you do not have the appropriate gear.
