When your buddy has a conference in Salt Lake City, you have to send as many peaks in the Wasatch as possible. Figured we couldn’t go bad with Utah 6 back of peaks challenge in the 3 day window that we had.
Decided to start the challenge with a sunrise on Lookout Peak. Started the trail around 4:25am to a chilly morning with clear skies and beautiful stars above. The trail was easy to navigate in the dark but had a couple slightly overgrown sections. Sunrise from the summit worth the sacrificed sleep and was an awesome way to start the challenge. With breakfast on our minds, we headed back to Salt Lake City to eat and gear up for our next 2 hikes.
