We decided to go for the 3-2-1 challenge and hike three peaks: Mount Pinos, Sawmill Mountain, and Grouse Mountain. This was the most extreme and longest hike I’ve done but it was worth it because I met so many new friends and we had a lot of fun hiking in the snow, ice, slush, and muddy dirt. The snow was knee deep in some areas. Snow was icy in the morning and slushy in the afternoon. The trail was not easy to find since it was mostly covered in snow. We had to stop a lot to check Alltrails map to make sure we were on the right trail. Each peak was beautiful and unique in its own way. Overall the hike was not hard but very long and the conditions of the trail and hiking in microspikes slowed us down.
