First, finding the “trailhead” is not so easy!  There is not really a marker, just a switchback trail up the hill at Dawson saddle.  The hike is fun- pretty easy, not really any steep sections and amazing views the whole time (well, until the storm hits).  I love the fact that it follows the ridgeline for so long.  We started a bit late unfortunately, so by the time we got close to the summit the clouds closed in and it started raining and hailing!  Soon the thunder and lightning started.  We stayed at the top just long enough to look around and take pictures before quickly heading back down.  I would love to do this hike again in better weather to have more time to hang out and enjoy the views.
