Well, since this is only hike #2 of the season due to closures, I was way under-prepared for this long and hard hike!  The trail is a little tricky to find and follow at times but once on the fire road it is easy going.  The first 2 miles were very tough for me- it seemed like it was straight up.  But it was through a beautiful area.  The fog was low lying and we did not see the sun- thankfully that keep it a little cooler, but we missed some of the beautiful views.  Cold and windy on the summit so we ate our lunch quickly, took our photos and headed back down.  Only saw about 10 other people the whole day on the trail so that was really nice!
