We missed the Azalea Glen trail (an easy to moderate trail) so we ended up going straight up lookout fire road (listed as strenuous). It was straight up and we had to use crampons. Snow was soft and mid calf to knee deep in most parts. The summit was windy and there was no snow, but the snow that was off to the side was waste deep.
