We did this hike early, before the sun started beating hard. It was breathtaking with cool breezes every now and then. However, at mile 2, it started to accent up to rigorous sharp rocks along with loose gravel that can cause you to slip… so becarful. It's highly recommended to have a GPS to help navigate through the terrain. There are ” false” trails that was probably carved out by rain or people getting off track. There are however trail beacons to help guide the way. On the top is an angelic 360 view of the canyon on the west, Las Vegas on the east, the peak of Mt Charleston in the north and Mountain's Edge in the south.
