This might have been the record for the world's slowest climb up Mt. Washington, but we made it to the top!

The weather was spectacular- sunny with a cool refreshing breeze. The infamous terrible Mt. Washington weather was nowhere to be seen.

My 11 year old niece was a mountain goat, but she kindly waited for her slow and steady (and sometimes stopped) aunt.

We went up Tuckerman trail, then Lions Head. The views were spectacular and as we reached the top we were able to see the finishers of a triathlon. Such incredible athletes!

We took the bus down- a luxury that's only available on this peak. Our driver was also a tour guide & told us about the history of the Mt Washington road & the early days of hiking in the White Mountains.

Definitely fun & strenuous. I hope to do it again as a round trip!
