This is peak number 5 of 6! The trail for the first mile had many signs to follow after that it became more difficult.  On some rocks there are painted white dots or arrows to help you find your way up. At the top there was a place for a box but there was no box. So no sign or book. The view going up  and at the top is tremendous.  To get to the top we did some scrambling and there was a good quantity of scree. The last mile has the greatest elevation gain about 1400ft of the approx 2000ft. Recommend using a tracking app i.e. Alltrails so you are less likely to get lost.

  1. Great job! I plan to do Turtlehead Peak soon. Thanks for the pic of the trail markings – I’ve read about such markings in other reports but this is the first I’ve seen an example of the markings.
