Intermittent snow – not hard to cross

After doing Mount Bierstadt decided to go to Grays and Torreys peak.  Drove to the parking late, attempted to go on the forest road but the road was way too rough for my Honda civic.  Went back to the parking lot sleep in my trunk with a air mattress, I found it to be pretty comfortable.  Woke up at 5 am starting hiking up the road to the trail head which was 3 miles away.  On my way saw some cool abandon houses and some summer homes walking up can't imagine getting there in the winter.  Got there took a small rest and headed up the mountain it was pretty easy going this time around.  I bought crampons and trekking poles after my snow mishaps in Beirstadt.  It was just very long since I had an extra 3 miles at the beginning.  Once I got my way close to the top the snow started to be difficult.  However step by step got up there.  After sitting around and looking at the views, I started heading down and saw a marmot he or she was red and didn't want anything to do with me.  After this I decided to climb  Torreys peak, even though the clouds were rolling in, probably not the brightest move but I went for it.
