While we did make it to the summit, two wrong turns and extra miles made it eventful. Today a race was going on. Their signage was so good, we ended up following their arrows and thought the upper trail was damaged (they had great wrong trail signs). We eventually figured it out but only after turning around and heading back down the mountain to retrace our steps to find the right trail.
Weather stayed chilly and clouds made the hike a nice break from the summer heat. Flowers are blooming and there was no snow on the trail to the summit.
