Oooooooooweeeeeee this hike! Headed up Yerba Canyon which wasn’t all that tough an uphill until we climbed out of the canyon up to the ridge. 3929 ft up a narrow and wooded trail, with lots of loose rock, it was a seriously challenging 4.5 miles. The view at the summit was UHmazing with views of Taos Ski Valley and Wheeler Peak (the highest peak in NM at 13,000+ elev and one of our Six Pack 😎). Got a bit turned around on the descent and ended up coming down the Manzanita Canyon trail.
Super challenging hike for these Six Packers but that’s why it’s called a Challenge, right?
