Got a little late start on the hike, my body did not want to get out of the sleeping bag.
I still hit the Starbucks right before the hike, not a good idea for the digestive system, if you know what I mean.
Once you start heading up hill it is all up, no flat spots to catch your breath. The scenery is always beautiful in Arizona.
On the trail we ran into a barefoot hike with some bloody feet, all I can say is “not for me” and “more power to you”.
Once we arrived to the top the look out was amazing and you can see most of Flagstaff.
We had a quick snack and started back down. We came across a lot of amazing people, some people hiking the mountain twice, some bicycling the road up, and just good people to talk too.
On the way down we knew we were getting closer to the “flat” earth, we can see the Purina factory and every turn it got bigger and bigger.
Once in the parking lot we changed and headed out to Camp Verde for some good Indian Fry bread!
Another great hike!
