Great hike! There is construction at the base of the Manitou incline at the moment so you can't start there, but if you go up the Barr Trail a little bit it eventually connects to the stair and you can start from there. Even from partway up it's tough!

Otherwise it was good, the trail is very faint and overgrown at the top so it's tricky to find, and you can't actually get to the top of Rocky Mountain unless you're a rock climber since the ladder that originally led up there appears to have long since died. I got as close as I could though and snapped a shot.

Get there early if you go on a weekend! I arrived around 6:45am and by the time I started up the trail 5 minutes later the lot was full. There is a $10 fee for parking there or in the town below.
