Even after all the recent rains this trail was mostly dry (only a few wet patches) due to the excellent construction. The trail has a very gentle grade almost the entire length and is smooth and easy walking. We saw a few early wildflowers and some birds and squirrels. Part way up is a nice view point where you can hear a rushing stream down below that I did not hear last year because it was such a dry year. The air was pretty clear which allowed us to see Mt Tam and Diablo up north. We could also see Steamer's Lane (a surf spot near the lighthouse in Santa Cruz).
Definitely worth the effort for the views and the quiet.
