This was my first time attempting Mt Baldy. I was a butt kicker for sure for me. We went up devil's backbone and came down baldy bowl. At the end of the day we had logged about 13mi and 4000+ft elevation gain. I was my toughest hike yet. I was proud of myself for accomplishing it. The weather was great. Temps only hit as high as 70 and at the peak there was no wind. Only came across a couple of other hikers on the the trail up and at the peak there was hardly anyone. Don't think I saw more the 6 people on the peak at any given time.
