It was a super fun hike especially the first part going through a shaded area with beautiful oaks. It was all up the first mile or so. Nice views. Tracking with Ann we met Tanika and Diana from Orange County right on the top.  They were so fun – dressed to celebrate St Paddy's Days ! We decided to hike back together via the 5 Oaks Trail. That part had even more beautiful views. Although a short hike, with only a bit more than 1000 feet of elevation gain, it become one of my favorites so far. It can be enjoyed at any time of the year. Since we were so close to Julian, we decided to stop for a hearty meal and an obligatory apple pie there.

Doing a second peak in one day was quite a victorious feat!!
