I wore ice cleats and used poles, waaaaay easier. I took my cleats off at the sign when i returned, and slipped on ice – go figure. I took 5 oaks up and volcan mt trail down. .5 miles up is when the ground is covered with snow. I saw peeps with shorts on (not just 1 person, a few). I wore cheap ass leggings and was fine the whole time (i should give those $9 leggings 5 star on Amazon).
