This was my second time on Volcan and is exactly as described on AllTrails as moderate. Weather was perfect, about 65 to 70 degrees with warm breezes. We took the High Oaks side trail which offers better views and makes it a little more challenging. Cute Christmas tree decorated about 2/3 up. Only a few snow patches left which made you walk through some mud. Stopped in Julian for sandwiches from Dudley’s and a mountain berry apple pie from the Julian Pie Company. All in all it was a great day.
