This is definitely one of the easier hikes in the 6POP challenge, but it is one of the few trails that was not affected by the wildfire closures in September. Despite the easy to moderate difficulty of the trail you still get rewarded with great views of the surrounding landscape. You can even see a segment of the Pacific Crest Trail from the summit.
When I did this hike in September there were a lot of ripe Sierra coffeeberries along the path (the seeds can be used for making a coffee substitute, and they even look like tiny coffee beans, though they are not related to the coffee plant).
All in all a nice hike for one of those days where you don't want to pull a 10-miler but still want to enjoy some nice views and nature.
