Took the daughter and the dog up with me today; and the geology along with the Flora and Fauna reminded me so much of my beloved Carmel Valley, CA! The scenery was sublime; rolling hills with blustery grass along the way, and the historical landmarks made it that much more interesting! I also really loved the alternative route on the way up or down (Five-Oaks Trail) which we opted for the way down; a little scrambling and switchbacks made for a fun downward spiral!
