Lots of early morning fog & clouds (7:00am). Very few hikers on a weekday. Be prepared for wind and cold as you approach the summit. The adjoining Volcan Preserve to the north is still chained off, and I am looking forward to the day when this route is open to the public. Volcan is a medium-strenuous hike.

This trailhead and summit seem to be managed by the County of San Diego.
