Volcan early (DST change over today) bc I had a lunch appt with relatives in El Centro at 1pm! Windy and at times down to 35 degrees! . . . I was prepared tough (Sierra club Wilderness course grad) and had all my laters and extra food etc..even had a warm thermos of hot tea! Only passed a few people bc it was early…Stopped by Julian after to pickup pie and went onto El Centro (where it was 98 degrees!) Where else in the world can you go from 35 to 90 degrees in 2 hours!
