As my 1st hike of the series I was excited and excited and looking forward to accomplishing these goals for my own personal fitness as well as mindset boost. I left about 7:30 in the morning to begin my ascent and I was alone on the trail all the way until 10:30 AM 10:30 AM. At some point I made myself paranoid that a mountain lion was stalking me and while I did hear things in the woods, there was no mountain lion, but, it's amazing what the mind can do if left to its own devices.
A short while later I finally made it to the summit and enjoyed awesome views and some well forested tree cover to enjoy and rest and eat some snacks and honestly I did enjoy being the only one up on this mountain because it was so peaceful and I could spend a lot of time just meditating and reflecting on life and such. It truly has a good energy up here.
