After making our way to the trail head we started out at 4:45, there were three other cars parked there. Ran in to toe ladies who were running the trail and another couple of guys who passed us on the way up. The contrasting beauty of the wild flowers and the devastation of the fire scar was really something to take in. We expected it to be hot but were pleasantly surprised. It only really got hit in the last few miles. Great day overall! 4 of 6 for me! San Jacinto and Gorgonio coming up before Whitney in August!
