I started this hike before 7am. It was a little chilly but I warmed up pretty quickly as I began hiking. The weather was perfect. It was clear and sunny with avererage temps in the 60s. I never took off my jacket the whole hike. The whole trail was pretty manageable in terms of the grade; however, it was pretty tiring due to act of consistently climbing for over 7 miles. The trail itself was very well maintained and the signage made the navigation pretty easy. There as one section in the last 2 miles to the summit, where there appeared to be a recent rockslide; however, it was very easy to navigate over the rocks. I summitted at around 9:30am. I walked around the little observatory area at the top and took a short snack break at the closed Cosmic Cafe while overlooking LA to the south. After a 15 min break at the top, I began my descent. I finished my hike at around 12:30pm.
