Obviously, we found the road up to the trailhead rough on our car – too much washboard for too long. But potholes weren’t bad and it was totally passable. We brought our daughter up for this hike, thinking it would be lovely to see the sunset. Unfortunately the fire smoke had moved in and the views were non-existent. Still enjoyed the hike, though, and can imagine the views would be fantastic on a different day!!!
