What a way to complete the Six-Pack of Peaks Challenge! Sitton Peak may not have the glamour of other SoCal peaks, it still has enough punch to challenge average hikers like me. First, it's close to 10 miles round trip with more than 2000 feet of elevation gain. Add the mud and eroded tracks from the recent rain and you got a hiking challenge. Then there's the notorious 0.36-mile steep ascent before the summit (made even harder by mud and erosion from the recent SoCal winter storms). Easy is not a word to describe this hike through the Cleveland National Forest. You make it to the summit and you are rewarded with the best views this side of Southern California.
