Cold, misty, and wet beginnings starting at the coast gradually made way for sunny, blue skies to the east atop Mount Tamalpais' east peak! The first section along Dipsea and Steep Ravine were spectacular, as always. Once you hit the Railroad Grade, it's monotonous until you hit the visitor center at the top. It was beautiful to see clear skies to the east and a wall of clouds/fog to the west, slowly moving out at around 10:30am. I didn't want to take the same route back so I ended up doing Fern Creek to Railroad Grade to Matt Davis. This was my longest hike to date at 15.7 mi. What a wonderful way to finish off this challenge!
