This trail was lovely – an early start to the day meant the locals (snakes, scorpions) weren't yet up and at em due to a chill in the air. I don't think this was my favorite hike in the Phoenix area, and I don't think I'll repeat it unless a visiting friend is super keen on hiking this peak – the view was negatively impacted by some fairly unsightly buildings that were quite visible from the summit, and I just love the Fremont Saddle hike so much. That said, I did enjoy the vibe at the top of the summit – it was pretty hard to not relax. If you time your hike right you'll be in the perfect place to see the fountain go off (look this up before you go – I did not do my research and felt like a doofus for missing one of THE reasons people do this hike). OH and I think the cactus are blooming ❤️
