I ended up taking the fire road up to the peak. That was the most difficult uphill climb and was brutal on my hammies. For a mile and a half something I could hear in the bushes following not quite sure what it was. Once I reach the peak unfortunately, I could not find the sign for the life of me, but I did meet another fellow hiker on the way down I took the loop and ran into two older women rangers. There was not a day that day. It started out, foggy in the clouds on the way, and slowly throughout the day they came back so by time I came down the loop I was walking through ability, clouds, moving fog. It was perfect weather I didn’t run into any snakes, a few people on the trail we’re picking ticks off of each other, but I didn’t see any of that on myself. Towards the bottom of the loop there was a wet spot where there’s a crossing it was still pretty damp throughout there, and the trail is very narrow with high grass. This is definitely a fun hike. I wish I didn’t have to do that one alone but you can’t wait around for someone to want to join.
