It had rained the night before so the creek was running beautifully. The first half of the hike, to the saddle, was great. I will say that I was not fond of all the rocks. They are a bear to climb over and around. I rolled my ankle a couple of times. BUT the creek was a beautiful sound to hike to. Some really pretty falls along the first mile. After the saddle was brutal. I am NOT a fan of heights, ledges, edges, or drop offs. The trail was much more narrow and hateful from my point of view. And the last 400 feet – you can keep it. BUT – getting to the top was INCREDIBLE. We were above the clouds. They were really thick so you couldn't see much below which was fine by me. Don't forget to take photos and sign the register.
