It was a clear, cold and slight windy day. Started in layers but warmed up quickly on the ascent.
The trail was hard compacted dirt or loose gravel. One section had deep ruts from the past rains.
The hike to the top is a constant up, up and more up. The first part was open trail, then into a tree covered narrower trail and finished with a steep open trail and last few yards a rocky climb up to peak. However the views are incredible. There were also a couple of coyotes hunting for lunch nearby.
Always feel blessed to be able to hike in our beautiful Bay Area hilltops.
