Sedona never disappoints. :)  Took advantage of the cooler summer day (low 80's) and ended up getting a rainstorm in the afternoon so actually got a little chilly for a bit (in fully heat acclimated person terms). My friend and I are also doing the Arizona 20-20 Challenge which includes Oak Creek Canyon so we started at the south trail for Wilson. The views are incredible pretty much the entire hike. There are parts that are so vegetated it almost seems tropical. The views at the summit (south end) of Wilson are breathtaking and the views on the north side of the mountain are 100% worth the extra distance to complete the trail. We saw a horny toad that had uniquely Sedona coloring. The vegetation was alive with insects, lizards, birds…all the wildlife. What a special place. <3
