We hiked Flatiron via the Siphon Draw trailhead and I was pleasantly surprised by how gorgeous the scenery was. As a desert girl, I don't get overly awe-struck by desert scenery, but the Superstition wilderness was in full bloom and it was much more green than most desert hikes. It was a beautiful contrast to the brown and red rocks that surround you throughout this hike.
It was definitely more of a rock climbing endeavor than a hike and sometimes challenging to navigate where the trail actually is. I brought two liters of water on a 70 degree day and drank the entire thing. The views at the top were gorgeous and I'm looking forward to doing it again. You definitely feel like you accomplished something great when you finish this one.
