Starts off like any other dry dusty LA hike but had some parts with unexpected fall foliage. Constant elevation gain to the top. No fun sign to hold up at the summit, but finally got to try the Cosmic Cafe! Got a root beer float and $10 hot dog, but it was jumbo and totally worth it. Beats eating a sad trail sandwich at the summit. Met some other hikers training for Whitney and even Nepal.
