Unseasonably cool weather for this hike, and windy, but I'm not complaining! The first three miles of the hike treated us to stunning red rock views. The fourth mile is a nice walk through a forest setting, while the last mile is pretty barren (seems to have been a fire several years ago, dead trees, etc) and not very scenic. However, the views are AMAZING when you reach the end of the trail – the payoff here was worth every step! We saw very few people on the trail and parts of the trail were rocky but overall not a super strenuous hike. 9/10 – would hike again!
