There were a few hornet’s nests adjacent to the trail; take care. What a hike! Despite the heat and the dust, this was one of the most rewarding physical experiences for this challenge. The summit is a bit anticlimactic because it is so overdeveloped. Our summit photos were taken in a few spots because I couldn’t locate the benchmark. (And there was a captive bear on a property along the road where we parked!)
