Awesome hike with a great group of people all driven to reach the top overcoming any obstacles in the way! Starting from the North Wilson trailhead, we ascended in the shade up rows of switchbacks before reaching the first bench.  From here, the trail flattens out with a steady even climb to the summit. I’m glad the group chose to check out both the  fantastic views of Sedona to the south as well as Wilson canyon across the mountain on the north.  Coming back down the way we went up proved to be more challenging than anticipated as the trail seemed slippery and semi steep in spots.  Lastly, on a personal note, I had to hold up my shorts a ton since they no longer fit hahaha! Between intermittent fasting and some great hiking, I’ve dropped 24 pounds and at least 3 inches off my waist!
