Noon start in early November was almost 80 degrees Fahrenheit- that's autumn in SoCal for ya! Was sweating at times- a good grade on that trail. Sun was behind ridge after the first long bit, and eventually went down the whole way. I don't know why JF doesn't like Wilson- I didn't mind it from Bailey Canyon last year, and I didn't mind it this route either! Different strokes for different folks, I suppose.
Clouds hadn't burned away from DTLA, so a cool shot of that near the summit. I did this after Baldy in the morning, so my legs were DEAD at the top- stretched for a little bit, then slogged back down. Calves were sore- which is a good thing; don't remember the last time I exerted myself and for a length at which I felt it in my calves, so, cool! Hope I'm recovered enough in a few days for San G, and I hope the weather cooperates…
