This was supposed to be a second summit of Gorgonio to prepare for Whitney, but there was a storm and rain forecast to the east, so pivoted to Wilson to get some training in. Also after the San Jacinto/Taquitz Peak hike, I knew I was ready for Whitney. But to make it more challenging, I decided to go up over Jones and Yale on the way. It definitely was a challenge, but proved to be quite a fun adventure. Very steep in sections, especially going up to Jones, and then just before the trail up to Yale. Trail to Yale is barely a use trail, and required some bushwacking. Wouldn't want to come down that way, but going up, although tough, was fun, and had some spectacular views. Next stop Whitney in 2 weeks!!!
