I did this hike with my companions, Crystal, Shira, and Jennifer, a.k.a. the Wander Women.We enjoyed this beautiful Hike through shady forest. We came up from San Diego, got to the trailhead at 6:05am and the parking lot was almost full already. We took the Upper Winter Creek Trail on the way up and the Sturtevant Trail to Gabrielino Trail back down to Chantry Flats trailhead. The entire trail was supposed to be 14 miles, but according to our Map My Hike app, it was 18 miles. Did anyone else find a large discrepancy like that? The weather was great for hiking. Not too hot or too cold. The forecast showed a small chance of rain, but we had no sign of it. I would definitely do this hike again.
