At the beginning of the hike, there is long unwooded hill. This navigates you to the forest underneath the chair lifts. The steepness of the  Hill intimidates you, and you wonder if you have picked a hike more challenging than you can accept. However, once you get to the forest, the trail starts to engage in more switchbacks, it becomes more gradual, and the trees are overhead. All the way through the forest, the trail is moderately technical and enjoyable. We found raspberries and wildflowers and even saw two deer. But then the tree line ends in the summit becomes the reality. They say there are false summits, but looking at the trail of people ahead of you you can see where the ultimate goal is. We hiked on a Sunday, there were plenty of tourists and locals up there, taking on the challenge with their pets and friends. This particular Sunday, it was very windy, we summitted lasted about five minutes and then turned around to head back down before we blew away. We picked up a hitchhiker on the way down that lost her group. I have to say this was the most populated trail we have been on so far. It was great to have the camaraderie and support! My favorite, no, but hey #6 is done. Great summer challenge!!!
