Day 1 was a clear sunny day. Above 8100ft started to hit some snow patches. The Baldy Bowl trail got difficult to follow in parts as I got closer to the top do to large patches of snow. I just kept looking for the pylon trail makers poking up from the snow and make my way from one to another. The top of the mountain was clear of snow except on the north side. Actually witnessed 3 guys ski down the north side of Baldy. Spent a windy night up on top that saw winds in the 25-40 mph range. The next morning I took the longer Backbone trail down. Along the way I saw a bighorn sheep feeding about 15 yards off of the trail. It seemed unfazed by me passing by.
