Hiked this along with Marymere Falls, cause we were already there, so why not?
It was cold with on and of rain, but also on and off views as the clouds would open up a bit, even allowing the occasional sun to shine through.  The ropes were every bit as scary, hard and fun as advertised!  It did start snowing as we approached the top, so the added challenge of wet, slippery rocks just upped the adventure.  The birds were up there as mentioned by others, as well. Lots of Canada Jays and a couple Steller’s Jays that were not very scared of people at all.  It’s obvious they get fed by hikers all the time, which is probably not the best thing to do.
Going down the ropes and rocks was almost as hard as going up. Â Well, going down safely and at a controlled speed was hard. Â Going down is easy, gravity and the slippery conditions were very much encouraging it! Â Definitely a hard workout on the legs, but if you have the time and enough energy for it, head over to the falls after. Â Only about a quarter mile from the trail split and definitely worth seeing!
